A GLANCE AT THE JOB

You will answer to a marketing manager or director in your capacity as a brand manager.

You carry out brand strategies while attempting to build your brand in a way that will be profitable and sustainable. To do this, you will use consumer and shopper data to create brand(s) that people adore.

The Brand Manager will also implement persuasive brand plans that are realized through outstanding brand experiences in terms of innovation, communication, and activation.

This entails defining and implementing your brand’s whole marketing mix daily.

Working with the marketing centers of excellence, you will take advantage of their knowledge to optimize the marketing mix, pricing, promotions, packaging, and new product development.

RESPONSIBILITIES

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Convert marketing insights and in-depth analyses of important problems and opportunities into concise and persuasive brand plans that explain how to implement category, pricing, and channel strategies, promotions, and innovation plans to meet predetermined growth objectives (volume, value, and profit).
  • Identify, describe, create, implement, and monitor innovation and renovation driven by insights that add value to the brand and its category (volume, value, profit). This entails specifying the trade solution for the client team, the product and packaging solution, and the persuasive message for the end user.
  • Collaborate with the Consumer Insights team to produce brand-relevant insights from every interaction point, encompassing competition intelligence, market and internal analytics, consumer behavior, trend data, and other relevant sources.
  • Oversee the creative agency while it develops a communication strategy for your brand or brands. The process will end with the delivery of a signed communication strategy, campaign evaluation, and approval of above-and below-the-line and campaign campaigns in comparison to the agreed-upon brand blueprint.
  • Make sure that all essential daily tasks related to brand management, such as S&OP forecasting, media planning, tracking consumer promotions, managing marketing investment expenditure and quality, tracking quality, tracking brand health and share, and range management, are completed completely and to a high standard.

QUALIFICATIONS

WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO THE TABLE

Key attributes and competencies

  • Broad experience in consumer goods, ideally in marketing and customer roles
  • Obsession with an insight driven by the consumer: a burning desire to comprehend how customers behave in your market and utilize that knowledge to inform strategy and decision-making.
  • Financial and strategic aptitude, including the capacity to create a strategy for category expansion, oversee its implementation, and comprehend the trade-offs associated with pulling different levers.
  • Route to market expertise: a thorough grasp of both contemporary and generic trade.

Experience

  • 5+ years of brand and marketing experience with a proven track record of working across functions to deliver marketing excellence and brand growth.
  • BBusSc/BCom preferable.
  • Proven record of successful brand development and Idea to Market strategies.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop innovative consumer goods propositions based on rich consumer insights.
