REQUIREMENTS:

The MEDICAL REGISTRAR should have the necessary qualifications for independent medical practitioner registration with the HPCSA, post-community service requirements, and registration as a medical practitioner with the organization. Diploma or Part 1 in the relevant department is required. courses and work related to the department.

An advantage will be having experience in the appropriate department. The Radiology Department offers additional training possibilities. registering for 2024 and 2025 with HPCSA.

DUTIES:

In addition to engaging in all discipline-related activities linked to teaching and research, the incumbent will be in charge of conducting interviews, looking into, diagnosing, and supervising the treatment of patients. They will also be in charge of departmental audit operations, planning and writing of reports, communication and liaison services, and community outreach. overseeing junior physicians, including interns, community service physicians, and undergraduate students. ready to put in more time for their commute.

Participation in pertinent administrative meetings, such as those on mortality, near-miss incidents, and timely completion of MEDICO legal documents (such as death certificates). Provide proper clinical treatment to raise the standard of care. Minimize medical litigation by using wise a clinical mindset.

Engage in a multidisciplinary team to oversee patient care. carrying out realistic procedures pertinent to patient care. involvement in journal clubs, case presentations, lectures, ward rounds, and departmental meetings.

Make sure the department maintains its records and handles administration. doing after-hours (night, weekend, and public holiday) tasks in order to give patients ongoing, unbroken treatment. Among others, registrars will be.

The information on the new Z83 must be in sync/correspond with the Curriculum
Vitae.

Only shortlisted candidates will be required/requested to submit certified copies of
qualifications, service certificate, and other relevant documents on or before the interview.


Candidates in possession of a foreign qualification will be required to furnish the Department with an evaluation certificate from the South African Qualifications Authority (SAQA) only when
shortlisted.

HR will conduct Personnel Suitability Checks (PSC) and Verification Checks. The
Department reserves the right to conduct verification beyond the information provided, where
necessary.
