Salary Package
The successful candidate will receive an annual salary of R444,036.

This position is based in Pretoria.
Requirements
To qualify for this role, candidates must have:
- An undergraduate qualification (NQF Level 7) in Economics, Finance, Commerce, Business Administration, Public Administration, Social Science, or an equivalent qualification recognized by SAQA.
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience at a Functional Specialist level in Development Finance, Economics, SMME Development, or Corporate Finance.
- Training in MS Office Packages and Project Management.
- A valid driver’s license.

- Strong communication skills (both verbal and written).
- Analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Attention to detail and customer service orientation.
- Effective planning and organizing skills.
- Proficiency in project management.
Key Responsibilities
The Functional Specialist will be responsible for:
- Providing technical support in collaboration with mandate owners (Agencies, National Departments, Private Sector) regarding funding opportunities.
- Conducting research to design and develop programs and systems that support SMMEs and cooperatives.
- Monitoring the implementation of priority programs through agencies and partnerships (TREP) as well as internal DSBD programs.
- Conducting post-disbursement site visits on an ad hoc basis.
- Communicating effectively with stakeholders, clients, management, and colleagues through written reports, verbal communications, and formal presentations and workshops.
