Salary Package

The successful candidate will receive an annual salary of R444,036 (Level 09).

Location

This position is based at our Pretoria Office.

Requirements

To qualify for this role, applicants must have:

  • A relevant tertiary qualification at NQF Level 7 in Public AdministrationManagement, or a related field.
  • 3 to 5 years of supervisory experience in a monitoring and evaluation (M&E) environment, preferably within the public service.

Knowledge and Skills

Candidates should demonstrate:

  • Strong understanding of the M&E processes and systems within the government sector.
  • Familiarity with the PFMA, Treasury Regulations, Policy Framework for Government-wide M&E systems, Framework for Managing Programme Performance Information, Strategic Plan Framework, Annual Performance Plan, Public Service Regulations, Operational Management Framework, National Development Plan, Medium Term Strategic Framework (MTSF), and Annual Report Guidelines.

Essential skills include:

  • Excellent communication abilities.
  • Strong planning and organizational skills.
  • Analytical thinking and computer literacy.
  • Good interpersonal skills and conflict management capabilities.
  • Problem-solving skills and report-writing proficiency.
  • Presentation skills and the ability to work under pressure.

Key Responsibilities

The Monitoring and Evaluation Supervisor will be tasked with:

  • Developing and reviewing M&E policies, departmental planning processes, and systems in line with relevant guidelines.
  • Coordinating the development, analysis, and submission of quarterly and mid-year reports on the implementation of the strategic plan and annual performance plan.
  • Overseeing the development and analysis of quarterly reports related to the operational plan.
  • Managing the preparation, submission, and presentation of the annual report on departmental plan implementation.
  • Ensuring the reliability of performance information through verification processes.
  • Assisting in the evaluation of the department’s performance according to the evaluation plan.
  • Supervising subordinate staff.
