Requirements:
– A degree or relevant qualification in Financial Management or a related field.
– 6-10 years of experience in Budget Planning, Financial Reporting, and Public Service Financial Management, with at least 3 years in a supervisory/management role (Assistant Director).
– Extensive knowledge of PFMA and NT Regulations is advantageous.

Duties:
– Manage GTAC budgets in compliance with legislation and departmental policies.
– Management Accounting Compliance: Oversee compliance with public finance regulations and make policy recommendations.
– Monitor the integrity of financial management systems and ensure adherence to reporting requirements.
– Budget Preparation Management: Coordinate financial information for strategic and annual planning, ensuring quality and alignment with operating plans.
– Budget Planning and Implementation: Oversee the MTEF budget process, aligning it with annual performance plans and making necessary adjustments.
– Budget Adjustments Management: Supervise the process for adjustments and ensure proper recording and reporting of budget changes.
– Budget Rollover Management: Ensure compliance with guidelines for unspent funds and analyze rollover requests.
– Budget Reporting Management: Evaluate monthly expenditure reports, monitor compliance, and compile information for financial statements.
